The rodeo is located at 2465 Targhee Pass Highway (Hwy 20).  It is very easy to find as it is right  on the south side of the highway and is just 4 miles west of West Yellowstone & the Park entrance.   Below is a map that shows exactly where to find us.

Next, we will go into a little detail on the background of how the rodeo got started.  Pictured below is Boyd McMillan, CEO of Lillian Rodeo (He is the person in the middle with the straw hat).  Lillian Rodeo is a family rodeo company that has been producing rodeos across the western United States since 1994.  In 1999 the West Yellowstone Chamber came together with Lillian Rodeo to make a rodeo in West Yellowstone become a reality and the first rodeo was held in August of 2000.  Each year, the rodeo has grown and now has established itself as one of the primary attractions surrounding Yellowstone National Park.  Lillian Rodeo still does other rodeos around the region but now its primary focus is West Yellowstone.  With hundreds of bucking horses and bulls, this family organization has resources and credentials necessary to produce such a major event as the WWYR series.  McMillan states:  "Our animals are our livelihood so we care for them with intense focus.  The animals of today will perform as long as they want to and then retire to our breeding program because their offspring will be the superstars of tomorrow!"  So without delay, purchase your tickets to come be a part of the tradition.

Here is a picture of the first West Yellowstone Rodeo in 2000 featuring "King Tut," (middle) a very highly decorated animal, who is now retired.  On the left is a picture of King Tut when he was younger, and pictured to the right is King Tut's first son "Catastrophic" who finished 3rd in the voting for Bucking Bull of the Year this season.  As a young bull, Lillian Rodeo was very pleased with his performance this year and the McMillan family expects him to become a superstar as he grows up.  A lot of care is given for all animals and is especially important while young ones are maturing.
